My Top 5 Drugstore Products

Hello, gorgeous people of the internet! Today, we’re all here for my top 5 drugstore makeup products. I’ve wanted to do this post because I love to find out which affordable products are high quality. So let’s jump right in!

I’m gonna start with Wet ‘n Wild Comfort Zone Palette. Guys, I can’t even tell you how much I adore this eyeshadow palette. It is so buttery, soft, creamy and high quality and it has gorgeous colors. Seriosly, every color of it is just magnificent. And it has a lot of MAC dupes. I think the most significant one is MAC Club eyeshadow or MAC Blue Brown pigment(Bottom right).

Such a shame they haven’t named them but these are the swatches:

Secondly, Rimmel London Lipsticks. They are creamy and long lasting also they have no taste but have a little bit smell which is not disturbing even good. I don’t own so many but I’ve swatched and looked at almost all of them at drugstore. Espeacially, Kate Moss Lipsticks are like MAC Lipsticks and you know the hype about the MAC ones.

My Rimmel London Lipsticks:

(L-R Kate Moss Lipstick in 01, Kate Moss Lipstick in 16, Moisture Renew Lipstick in 130-Oxford Street Fuchsia, Moisture Renew Lipstick Old Formula in 600-Soft Coral)

Here are the swatches:

(L-R Moisture Renew Lipstick Old Formula in 600-Soft Coral, Moisture Renew Lipstick in 130-Oxford Street Fuchsia, Kate Moss Lipstick in 16, Kate Moss Lipstick in 01)

I think Maybelline Rocket Volum’ Express Mascara is one of the best mascaras at drugstore an it is the best I’ve ever had whether high end or drugstore. It gives you volume and lenght without clumping also it has wet to dry formula.

NYX is a little bit pricey in my country but they reduced the prices. Their cream blushes, eyehadow palettes, lipsticks and lip pencils are just perfect. In fact, NYX’s cream blushes are much more high quality than the Make Up For Ever cream blushes. But sadly I don’t own any right now because I gave away to my cousin. Although, I’m gonna talk about their lip pencils. Me and my best friend love them so much. They are not so creamy but not hard either. Perfect balance in between. My favorite one is Natural. It goes well with every natural lipstick.

Some of you may not be consider it as a drugtore brand but theBalm is a drugstore brand in my country. Truly, I love every product from them. My holy grail concealer is from Clinique but girl, theBalm’s concealer is one of the kind. The small pot lasts you at least one year! It is solid but so creamy. It creases a little bit on an oily skin but nothing so much.

These are my drugtore favorites I hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by 🙂

Haul & Review | MAC, Sephora and Drugstore

Hello, beautiful people! It’s me again! I’m gonna show you my recent haul and share my thoughts on them. I hope you enjoy.

So, lets get started!

Mac Haul:

MAC Lipstick in Captive and MAC Eye Pencil in Coffee: Captive is just perfect for an everyday color especially for Fall. It has satin finish so a little bit slippery and not so much long lasting but the color is uh! just beautiful… Coffee is plain brown. I have oily eyelids but doesn’t smudge maybe a little.

Here are the swatches:

MAC Lipstick in DivaI’! There aren’t enough words for that beauty… It’s burgundy but brown undertone. It has matte finish and so so long lasting even my lips are so thin and I usually attemp to eat my lipstick.

Sephora Haul:

Make Up For Ever Cream Blush in 215I’m such a cream blush junkie. And this one is my new love. It’s too tiny 😦 I feel like I’m gonna finish this so soon… The color of it so natural like bronze-y pink if it’s even a word 🙂 Blends like a pink blush on a bronzer.

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in 02-LightI think I don’t have to say this is my holy grail product. It’s not like an usual concealer. It is thick but blends easily with Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and also it’s like an eyeshadow primer.

Sephora 12HR Waterproof Eyeliner in CocoaI love Sephora’s eyeliners. They are so affordable, creamy and long lasting. Doesn’t smudge at all. Also no parabens which I usually look for this.

Drugstore Haul:

Wet ‘n Wild Lipstick in Just Peachy: “Good quality, low prices.” should be wet ‘n wild’s motto. And this is another long lasting lipstick with a perfect color. It says Just Peachy but I think a little bit darker that just peachy. Suits really well to fair skin tone.

Essence Lipsgloss in Very BerryThe color of it is so cute. Not so pigmented but well enough. Quality of it is average.

Pastel Nail Polish in 134This is a Turkish brand and nail polishes of that brand are so famous here. They are good quality sometimes even better than Essie and prices are so low. Also it doesn’t have 3 toxic ingredients.

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you guys soon! 🙂

My Fall Makeup Look

Hello, beautiful people of the internet! I’ve really missed you guys and I’m sorry  I didn’t post so much… Anyways, today I’m gonna share my fall makeup. In fall and winter, my face is really dull. At these times, I feel like a ghost! So, I’m wearing much more makeup than usual. Personally, I wouldn’t prefer to wear foundation but tinted moisturizers or beauty balms are my best friends. Also, dark lips are essential for fall and winter but I’m gonna show you two lip colors.

I’m gonna review a little bit the products that I’ve used. Then you’ll see my makeup looks. I hope you enjoy! 🙂

DSC_0598 (2)Top L-R Yves Rocher Single Eyeshadow in 102-Rose Boise Mat, Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm in Vanilla Glow, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.

Bottom L-R Clinique Intense Eyeliner in Black Honey, Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in 02-Light, Maybelline Volum’ Express Mascara, Too Faced Sweet Sun Shines Lip Gloss in Papaya Slushie, Sephora Blush Me Twice! Duo Versatile in 2.

Clinique Intense Eyeliner in Black Honey: The color of this eyeliner is just perfect. It is like reddish brown. Not so much brown and not so much burgundy either. It’s not waterproof but cleaning this stuff is just PAIN IN THE A WORD. I’ve tried everything but still it stained on my eyelids.

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in 02-Light: I’m not gonna talk about that concealer so much but It’s my holy grail product. It’s too thick for a finger application but Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is like created for this concealer. Because of the thick consistency, it’s a great eyeshadow primer.

Maybelline Volum’ Express Mascara: I don’t know if it is still available but it is really good. I think it is similar to the Rocket one but not better.

Too Faced Sweet Sun Shines Lip Gloss in Papaya Slushie: Okay guys, I’m hearing like you say “Girl, it is not a fall color, it is for summer, duh!” but I think this color really pulls together of the bronze look. I don’t know if it’s just me.

Yves Rocher Single Eyeshadow in 102-Rose Boise Mat: At first, I didn’t expect too much from that eyeshadow. It’s so boring but BUT BUT!! It is a perfect warm crease color. I know it is a little bit dark but I assure you if you buy this you’ll not regret it. It is so soft, long lasting and completely matte.

Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm in Vanilla Glow: I don’t like this! I know it’s a tinted moisturizer but it has too light coverage. Lorea’l’s beauty balm is much more better and cheaper.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze: MUST. BUY. THIS!

Sephora Blush Me Twice! Duo Versatile in 2: Blush part of this so similar to the Nars Osgasm or theBalm Hot Mama but it doesn’t show on my skin. Besides that the bronzer is just perfect for fair skin tone. I think it looks like Benefit Hoola Bronzer but I haven’t tried it so I’m not really sure.

Bonus; MAC Lipstick in Diva:

So, these are the final looks:

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you guys soon! 🙂

It’s Time to Make Face Charts!

Hello everyone! How are you doing? I’m really excited today I think that’s because of it’s fall time here now. I want to post something about fall essentials soon but now we all here for face charts!

Since I was a little girl, I like drawing. Back in the times I was drawing watercolor painting or playing with crayons but then it has become sketches or charcoal drawings. Now I’m into makeup so I decided to make face charts. I’m not an expert or anything but I’ve searched how to make these, learned some things and decided to explain you a litle bit.

First of all, you can use a regular A4 paper but I don’t recommend because it’s hard to blend the colors. The paper needs to be watercolor. I can almost hear you say “How the hell am I gonna find that paper?” but it’s so easy. Almost every craft store sells them and if you don’t want to draw a face on it you can ask politely to M.A.C and they can give you some.

The other thing is when you put an eyeshadow you have to prep a base for it. If you don’t do this it’ll be pale a little bit as well as you can overload the color.

I think this is the most hardest part. You can’t use mascara so you have to use an eyeliner for this part(or fake eyelashes). I prefer to use an eyeliner. I draw little lines as eyelashes I recommend yo to don’t press too hard or it can be spidery and clumpy. Just draw little lines, do them unordered and don’t press to hard.

Lighting makes such a difference. If you put the light to the correct places, your face chart looks much more alive! Contour is the key and bronzer is everything for the face. Firstly, I put bronzer all over the face with a light hand and this works as a foundation then I contour.

Eyebrows and OMG the second hardest part! Actually, I’m suck at it!! I’ve tried so many different ways to do it and still I suck. All I say don’t draw a straight line or it’ll look so fake. Draw short lines to upwards and shape it how you want it to be.

Okay good news making lips is so easy. With a lipstick brush fill in the lips but again pay attention to the lighting. Highlight the center of the lips.

This is my first face chart and it’s not so good. Also it’s regular A4 paper.

And that’s the watercolor paper:

Empties #1

2014-08-17 06.14.22 1 (2)

Hello everyone! Bam and it’s time to share my empties. Honestly, I love this kind of posts because they are like ultimate reviews. Also I’m a little bit proud of myself because I paid for it and I’ve used it! Anyways let’s talk about my empties.

Batiste Dry Shampoo: I think I don’t have to talk about that too much because as you can see I’ve finished one bottle of travel size and one bottle of regular size. It smells so great. I think it has a clean, fresh scent which is a little bit lemony. Gives you good volume and gets rid of all greasyness up to 2 days. Also I recommend you to use this before you sleep then your hair will absorb dry shampoo much better.

Giovanni Vitapro Fusion Protective Moisture Leave-In Hair Treatment with Eco Chic Technology: Wow. What a long name. This brand is USDA Certified Organic so their products have 100% vegetarian ingredients. Also they are against to animal testing. Specifically this product has no parabens, lauryl or laureth sulfate or dyes. It has so much vitamins and proteins and protects hair from heat and chemicals while repairing dry hair. I have really dry hair. If I don’t wash my hair 3 days, it barely gets oily but this really helped me to get shiny and healthy hair. Of course it didn’t repair all of my split ends so I’ve had a haircut.

Giovanni 2Chic Avocado&Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Dual Action Protective Leave-In Spray with Eco Chic Technology: Yes, all Giovanni products have very long names 🙂 Because they promise too many things and try to explain at one title. On the bottle, it says moisturizes & nourishes, creates supple control, restores shine & bounce, improves elasticity, protects hair while heat-styling. Some of them yes and some of them I didn’t see that. Yes, it moisturizes and nourishes, makes your hair shiny and protects hair much better than Giovanni Vitapro Fusion Protective Moisture Leave-In Hair Treatment. But I didn’t see supple control(because I have fine hair), bounce or better elasticity. Overall, still it is a high quality product because it is vegan and moisturizes and protects your hair very well.

L’oreal Paris Skin Perfection BB Cream 5 in 1: First of all I’m a little bit BB cream junkie. I don’t have any foundations because I don’t have any scar or acne problem on my face but I have dry skin so it’s dull in winter times.

This BB cream is really good and it’s from drugstore. I’ve used Too Faced BB Cream and it can’t get near to the L’oreal one. This gives you medium coverage, makes your skin flawless, has SPF25 and it’s so moisturising. I usually try not to use products with parabens but I couldn’t resist using this one.

Neutrogena One Step Gentle Cleanser: I hate that cleanser. It doesn’t clean properly. I bought it because it has no alcohol in it which is really good for dry skin. My holy grail cleanser is Garnier Pure Active 2-in-1 Makeup Remover Purifying Gel which I’ve used up that too. Garnier one is for oily skin but somehow it does wonders on my dry skin. It isn’t suitable for eye area but sometimes when I used it on my eyes, it melts away my mascara.

Garnier Simply Essentials Eye Makeup Remover: Actually, I don’t have too much things to say about that eye makeup remover. It is an average one and has nothing special. Except it has no perfume, no alcohol and no colourants but has very drying formula.

Maybelline the Rocket Volum’Express Mascara: I’m pretty sure you’ve already heard so much things about this mascara. All youtubers and bloggers has spoke about this. It gives you so much volume and lenght without clumping.

Those are all my empties. Thanks for stopping and if you find this helpful, please share 🙂

ÇANAKKALE Is The Place Where The Heart Of A Nation Sighs

Hello everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything because I was on vacation. And I’ve really missed writing so I decided to share my vacation photos and memories. 🙂

In case you didn’t know I’m from Turkey and I live in Izmir but my mom’s hometown is Çanakkale so I have relatives there also my grandma and grandpa live there. I go to Çanakkale every year since I was 1 and I love to be there because Çanakkale is just beautiful and every part of it smells like history. I’m really excited to share so let’s get started. 🙂

This beautiful girl on the right is my cousin. We see each other just one time every year 😦

When I get there, I stayed at her home and we went everywhere together. Her home is near to a very calming watercourse and there is a cafe next to it. We drank Turkish tea everynight at that cafe and the water, the atmosphere and the talk were so good it was like a therapy.

1914, World War 1…  Any kind of war is just so bad but sadly we were part of it. Many many young men died and so many families fell apart all around the world.  In my country, Çanakkale was the key place at that war so there are a lot of historical places. I didn’t go all of them this year because I saw all of them years ago. But I’ve tried to take a lot of photos to share with you all.

Firstly, there is a free museum at the city center. It is an open-air museum and has a castle called “Çimenlik Castle”. I couldn’t take photo in that castle because there was a restoration going on. These are the photos that I took:

This UB-46 type German submarine was construced in Bremen/Germany and was put in the sea in 1915. Due to fact that Ottoman Empire and Germany were on the same side during the first world war. UB-46 was assigned its task around Istanbul area. As it was passing to Istanbul area, on 2nd of october 1916, it submerged an English steamship. On 7th november 1916, it submerged a Russian sailboat. On the way of Istanbul, it was hit by a mine 300 meters off the shore.

Submarine wreckage was found in 1993 in Istanbul – Kemerburgaz district on the shores of Akpınar village during a coal extraction operation. This extracted wreckage involves partly 16 meters long torpedo room battaries on its forepart. Despite efforts, the rest of wreckage was not found.

This is an old periscope which is set to see the Hellespont. I brought my phone camera closer to the periscope to show you what I saw. And that’s the photo:

After that we went to the esplanade for a walk. There are a lot of cafes next to the sea and I can’t tell you how alive is that place especially at the night time. There is a big university in Çanakkale so everywhere is full of students and tourists.

And this is the famous Troya Horse. This horse is gifted by the “Troy” movie producers so this isn’t the original one.

There isn’t any bridge at the Hellespont. So, we use ferryboat for passing through the Hellespont. There is a pier on the esplanade. With ferryboat, you can go to Kilitbahir and Eceabat from the city center. This time I didn’t go to Eceabat but I did go to Kilitbahir.

This is me and my cousin on the ferry.

On a hilltop to the right, there is a huge figure of a 1915 Turkish soldier carved in white upon the hillside. In one hand he holds a rifle while his other arm is outstretched towards a Turkish inscription:

Dur yolcu!
Bilmeden gelip bastığın,
Bu toprak, bir devrin battığı yerdir.

These words are written by Turkish poet, Necmettin Halil Onan.

Traveller halt!
The soil you tread
Once witnessed the end of an era.

Here is the whole poem:

Stop wayfarer! Unbeknownst to you this ground
You come and tread on, is where an epoch lies;
Bend down and lend your ear, for this silent mound
Is the place where the heart of a nation sighs.

To the left of this deserted shadeless lane
The Anatolian slope now observe you well;
For liberty and honour, it is, in pain,
Where wounded Mehmet laid down his life and fell.

This very mound, when violently shook the land,
When the last bit of earth passed from hand to hand,
And when Mehmet drowned the enemy in flood,
Is the spot where he added his own pure blood.

Think, the consecrated blood and flesh and bone
That make up this mound, is where a whole nation,
After a harsh and pitiless war, alone
Tasted the joy of freedom with elation.

When you step into Kilitbahir, there is another castle on the left but unfortunately this was on restoration too. In front of the castle, there is secret Namazgah Fort. I said secret because when you look that place from the sea, you just see some small hills but Ottoman Empire carved forts into them.

Processed with VSCOcam with g3 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

Nowadays, these forts are turned into a museum. It isn’t free but so affordable. If you get in, you’ll see war equipments belong to Ottoman Empire, France, England and Germany. And also you’ll watch a short movie about World War 1.

DIY: A Perfect Mirror and The Cutest Ottoman

Hello everyone. As you can see by the title, I have got another DIY project for you. Actually 2 but one of them  just have after photos. But I’m gonna try to tell how I did it. Lets get started.

First of all, you need some plastic spoons and you have to cut them into two pieces because you need just oval parts. But please wear safety glasses because when you cut them, little pieces can harm your eyes.

Also you need a big round shaped cardboard(you can cut like that) and a spray paint. I chose fluorescent red spray paint and it is really bright.

Then with a silicone gun, glue them to the cardboard. But leave a little bit space in the middle for the mirror.

After all of that steps you’re gonna end up like this:

My mirror is a little bit dirty, please excuse 🙂

And my second DIY is that pretty ottoman. Actually it is an IKEA coffee table but I covered it with a piece of IKEA fabric(I used a stapler). And I put a fluffy pillow on the top of the table but honestly I regret this. If you put a sponge, it can be much more comfortable.

DIY: Change The Look of Your Picture

Hello everyone! Today’s post is not a makeup review or beauty themed. I wanted to share one of my DIYs and later that I’m gonna share another one.

Last year my friend gave me a perfect gift. Back in that times I was redecorating my room and I needed something for my wall. He bought me a picture with owls and flowers on it. I loved it so much but it was the same color as my walls so it didn’t look well. Then I decided to change it a little bit.

Here it is:

(This photo is from

DSC_0655   DSC_0657   DSC_0659

I used a paper tape for the stripes because if you use duct tape, it can leave stickiness. Then I paint the stripes with a gold spray paint (I recommend Raykon Spray Paints but I live in Turkey so I don’t know if you can find it). I didn’t paint the whole picture because I wanted to see it but create a line between the wall and the picture.

How it turned out when I removed the tapes:

I hope you like it. If you recreate, please send me photos. And if you like this post, please share it. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

My Everyday Makeup Essentials

Hello everyone. Usually I don’t wear too much makeup and I like to keep it neutral. So, today I wanted to show you my everyday makeup essentials. Also I’m gonna review these products a little bit. And a tiny disclaimer: I took the photos when I came home (wore it 10 hours) so you’ll see how long they can stay on my face and eyelids (I have very oily eyelids and very dry skin).
Here are the products:

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer: This concealer is a little bit thick and not so much moisturizing. My eyelids are so oily and I have hooded eyes so I use it like a eyeshadow primer because it has line smoothing effect so it helps to less eyeshadow creasing. If you have dry under eye area I don’t recommend it. But I used it with real techniques expert face brush on my under eye area so it is not that bad.

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette: This palette is very pigmented and long lasting also has very versatile colors. All of them are matte.

I use Matt Ramirez for my eyebrows. Also I use Matt Smith for all of my eyelids and Matt Batali for out of corners like v shape. Then I blend it with Matt Gallagher. For lower lash line again Matt Batali.

Maybelline Single Eyeshadow in Beige Nude/Naked Beige: I think it is just a perfect product for any makeup collection. It has a gorgeous sheen and it is perfect for inner corner or under brow bone. It’s just perfect.

Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara and Lash Building Primer: I love this primer. Literally it made my lashes longer. It has growing effect. Almost gone but I’m gonna buy it again. Mascara is just okay. Maybelline Rocket mascara much much better and cheaper.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Timeless Black: It is a good cream black eyeshadow but I don’t have any gel eyeliner right now so I used it for a gel eyeliner.

My everyday makeup look:

I don’t have any foundation and I just wear sunscreen or BB cream in winter. Thanks for stopping by.
